Doc Martens Second Time ‘Round

The standard combat-style 8 eyelet doc boot in black and oxblood has been continually available in the dusty corners of shoe stores since we feel out of love with them years ago. Docs were considered to be a fashion revolution when they came on the scene in the late eighties and early nineties. I’m proud to say I was one of the first in my class to get a pair of bubble docs, having convinced my mother they would last me 25 years. Sadly, fashions come and go and mine got the boot in much less than the 25. It’s probably no surprise with the brogue trend of the last few years that docs are fashionable again. This time around there’s a better selection of styles, colours, patterns and heel heights. Good with shorts, skinny jeans and the goth vibe. Would you?
