In my work I hear the words ‘decluttering’ and ‘organising’ used a lot in the same context, and to me they are quite separate activities. Check out this episode of Decluttering TV to find out the differences between the two.

Loved this video!
Glad you liked it and thanks so much for letting me know, it’s lovely to get your comments. X
You are right Breda, I think most people call their dis-order clutter when it mightn’t be “clutter” at all and also some people think they need to be more organized but they probably actually need to get rid of lots of stuff! Trudy xox
Spot on Trudy and thanks a million for your insightful comment! Breda x
Breda, Thank you for the great tips. I read about your one-day course in Limerick in Oct. but could not be there. Any chance of doing one in Kerry ( Tralee or Killarney ) next year, maybe after Easter. Hope that you are ok again. You have inspired me to start clearing out stuff, which seems to multiply on its own. Oxfam in Dunlaoire has lightened my load. Keep up the great work. Thanks, Ger.
Ger, thanks so much for your comments – it’s lovely to hear from you. I will certainly keep you posted on the plan for upcoming workshops. All good here thankfully, I’m delighted to hear that you have taken the inspiration to declutter – they’ll be very pleased at Oxfam in Dun Laoghaire! Keep in touch, Breda x
Hi Breda,
I so get the declutter v organising thing.
I would be very organised everywhere in the house except my own wardrobe. It was full of clutter and I was unable to shift it for years until I attended your workshop in Limerick. Now it is so easy to “Let Go” Thank you so much you are an inspiration and I love the gentle way you help us to declutter of unwanted items !!! Will keep in touch,
Galway Girl
Hi Galway Girl, yes it’s interesting isn’t it, and you wouldn’t be alone in that at all! You are so welcome and I know you are creating the beautiful wardrobe you deserve – I’m thrilled to hear that unloved items that you’ve had for years are now being ‘let go’. Good for you. X
You hit the nail on the head there in your video, I think most people don’t know the difference between what’s cluttering up their homes and what’s simply put in the wrong place!
Thanks
Hi Penny, glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for your comment and do keep in touch! Breda
Great blog!
Thank you, Marian – glad you enjoyed it!
