Decluttering and Mental Health

Over the last while I’ve been delivering a lot of Decluttering Talks and Decluttering Workshops to corporate and wellness groups up and down the country, with a real focus on Decluttering and Mental Health.

It’s great to see the subject of Mental Health coming more and more to the fore, and there is increasing awareness around how shutting out the things that are upsetting us or stressing us just does not work.

An area that is still quite misunderstood on many levels, we’re also beginning to understand that our emotional health (feelings) is also as important, if not more important in many ways, than our mental health (thoughts).

Relevant to every single person, understanding our mental and emotional connection to clutter and decluttering is simply imperative if we want to achieve lasting freedom from clutter, reap the benefits of decluttering in all areas of our lives and truly enjoy our wardrobes and homes. This is the basis of my “Declutter Therapy” approach, and this passion has led me to undertake a wide variety of relevant professional qualifications and practice and develop of a unique set of decluttering skills, tools and techniques over the years. Tirelessly championing “Declutter to feel good”, since 2010 I’ve written my Declutter Therapy book, founded National Declutter Day and International Declutter Day and worked on many decluttering initiatives with national and international media, charity and business organisations.

As part of this fascinating journey, I’ve been able to create a cutting-edge set of personal and professional decluttering services and programmes that reflect the level of help we really need with our decluttering today.

If your group would benefit from understanding the vital connection between decluttering and mental health and how decluttering in the right way brings wellbeing in all aspects of life far beyond our physical living spaces, I’d be delighted to share my leading expertise, thoughts, tips and experiences with you in an inspiring Decluttering Talk or Decluttering Workshop that is known to get people decluttering as soon as they arrive home!
